This enrollment process applies to the Ateca, Leon and Formentor vehicles.
Even if the user had a previous SEAT ID, one of our registration assistants can directly create a SEAT ID account, log in and enrol the vehicle in their garage.
Once you have a SEAT ID created, you will have a couple of options for enrolling a vehicle on your account.
The first one is to use the My SEAT App. You can log in with your account ID in the system and enter the VIN of the vehicle. If you want to skip the VIN entering process, you can log in directly into the infotainment system of the vehicle with your SEAT ID.
Once logged in, you will have to agree with the SEAT CONNECT contract agreement. There you will see listed all Legal information and all of the Terms and Conditions of the My SEAT App. Once the customer agrees, they are going to become the Primary User, since they are the first one logging into the infotainment system.
The system comes complete with e a two-key verification system. This is done by pressing the unlock button on both sets of keys–first on one, then on the other.. After this is done, the enrolment will be completed and the vehicle will be enrolled with the user’s SEAT ID.
During the registration process, you will be provided with all of the relevant legal information such as the GTC and the Privacy Policy. This ensures that you will have access to all needed information before you commit to using the services.
This process is made as simple and easy as possible, so you don’t have to struggle when you want to start operating the vehicle. Everything is described in the instructions during registration. The two-key verification is a safety feature of the vehicle. It ensures that only the owner is able to enrol their vehicle to their SEAT ID. if someone manages to steal your vehicle before you enrol it to your SEAT ID, without the second key, they won’t be able to connect their ID to it.
When there is a change of ownership over the vehicle, the process of transferring is just as simple. The old owner (Primary User) can go into the My SEAT App or the infotainment system and restore the vehicle's factory settings. This will delete all saved customer data and configurations and the vehicle will be configured just as it left the factory. Then the new user can go through the enrolment process and connect their SEAT ID to the VIN.
