Your SEAT is an intelligent vehicle that responds to your needs just by using your My SEAT App. With the My SEAT App, you have now the possibility to lock and unlock your car remotely using the app.
Please notice that this feature needs a SEAT Identification that can only be activated by your local SEAT dealer. You won't be able to use these features if your dealer doesn't activate them.
You need to register to the system by using your app and identity as a primary user with the new authentication system called the S-PIN. The S-PIN is your identification used when creating your SEAT ID and profile.
At any moment, you can check your SEAT's lock status on your My SEAT App. To check your vehicle's lock status, you need to access your My SEAT App in the Remote Lock & Unlock section of the app. The lock symbol will give you an indication if the doors are locked or unlocked.
This service is available for all countries and territories including Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Estonia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Austria, Luxembourg, Latvia, Denmark, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Denmark, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Finland, Spain, Croatia, Albania, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Macedonia, Sweden, Poland, Malta, Bosnia, France, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Greece, Gibraltar, Montenegro, Cyprus, and Andorra.
Please note that the Remote Lock & Unlock feature is only available for the latest models of Leon and Formentor for United Kingdom, Ireland, Cyprus and Malta.
Connect Gen 3’s Remote Locking System offers you a simple and immediate way to lock & unlock your door and car boot.
How does it work?
Using the app, you have to press the Vehicle tab and then press the Remote Lock & Unlock features. Then you will be asked if you want to lock or unlock your vehicle. Press the Yes button if you want your car to be locked or unlocked remotely.
This feature doesn't only work with the door, but also with the boot. It is particularly necessary if you have a delivery job or if you're placed in a situation where you only need to unlock your car boot.
It is important to note that this function doesn't work as a digital key, which means that you cannot start or stop your engine using this feature.
This feature can only be enabled with an extra layer of security that is available if you have a SEAT ID. Only your SEAT dealer can activate your SEAT ID at the delivery of the vehicle.
