Activate Area Alerts With the My SEAT App

The Area Alert is a feature available via your My SEAT App that allows you to get a notification when your vehicle enters a predefined area. It is particularly helpful if you lend your vehicle to a friend or family member and for some reason, you want to know if this person goes to a certain place, at a certain time.

This service is available for a primary user of the vehicle, which means that you can control the whereabouts of a second user. It will work only if the "Share My Position" feature is activated and your car can be located by the App, so if you want to use the feature, make sure that you select that first.

How does it work?

You can predefine the areas that you want to control using the My SEAT App. You can predefine 10 areas, and four of them will be active at the same time.

To define an area, you need to push the Vehicle tab and then push notifications. Enter the Alert section and select a zone on your local map. Any place in Europe can be selected.

This service is available for all countries and territories including Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Estonia, Belgium, Czech Republic, Austria, Luxembourg, Latvia, Denmark, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Denmark, Italy, Romania, Serbia, Finland, Spain, Croatia, Albania, Norway, Portugal, Slovenia, Macedonia, Sweden, Poland, Malta, Bosnia, France, Hungary, Slovakia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, Greece, Gibraltar, Montenegro, Cyprus, and Andorra.

Personalise Your Driving Experience with Area Alerts

With this feature, the primary user of the car will know if the vehicle enters a predefined zone with a notification.  The primary user can be notified by either PUSH notifications or email. The notification happens instantly as the vehicle enters the predefined zone.

This function is easy to activate or deactivate with your app. If you don't need to watch a zone anymore, simply enter your app and deactivate the zone.

You can set up 10 areas, as you would do with morning alarms, but only four area alerts will be activated at the same time. It is fairly easy to activate and deactivate areas in real time.

Please note that this feature is only available with vehicles produced after a certain date.
